We are honored to express our pride in joining this leading national institution, which is entrusted with the great responsibility of enhancing the health and well-being of women and children across the Sultanate. Recent years have witnessed rapid changes, highlighting the growing need to strengthen our efforts in providing health services for women and children. In response, we maintain our steadfast commitment in advancing healthcare services, considering women’s and children’s health as a key pillar of a healthy, resilient and cohesive society. The center's core objectives focus on contributing in reducing the rates of maternal and child morbidity and mortality by standardizing healthcare practices according to national and international standards. Also raising awareness of health rights within the community, supporting scientific research and specialized studies, and implementing national programs and awareness campaigns that contribute to improving the health outcomes of women and children. The center is organized into four main departments: Women's Health, Child's Health, Reproductive Health and, Research and Performance Improvement Department- working together to deliver integrated, evidence-based services. With sincere prayers for Allah’s guidance and success, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to improving the healthcare services for women and children. As well as enhancing the efficiency of medical professionals and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety, in accordance with Oman Vision 2040, which supports the pursuit of sustainable health development in the Sultanate of Oman.

Child Health Department

Child Health Department

The Child Health Department leads the development and implementation of national policies, strategies, and programs to promote and protect the health and well-being of children from birth through adolescence (up to 18 years). Its mandate also includes developing clinical guidelines, standardizing child healthcare services, identifying human resource and equipment needs, and preparing training plans for healthcare professionals. In addition, the Department supervises the implementation of specialized child health programs and works to build and strengthen partnerships with ministries, national authorities, and international organizations to achieve shared health goals. Child health services areas: 1- Child Health Programs. 2- Early Childhood Development and Care. 3- Genetic and Rare Diseases Programs. 4- Child Health Services Development 5- Adolescent Health Programs

It prepares operational guidelines and training plans for healthcare providers, implements interventions to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality, and collaborates with international organizations. It also supports health education and awareness initiatives, develops educational materials, contributes to reproductive health data and indicators, and conducts regular evaluations of women’s health services through supervisory and field visits. Research and Performance Improvement Department

The Research and Performance Improvement Department conducts applied and operational research to identify priorities and challenges in women’s, child, and reproductive health. It develops and maintains integrated data systems to support regular reporting, indicator monitoring, and evidence based decision making. It oversees electronic monitoring systems, tracks health indicators, evaluates program performance, supports implementation of the national five year plan. It also collaborates with international organizations and governmental and non governmental partners in research and training.
