Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Office
The Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Office at the Ministry of Health is one of the departments directly affiliated with the Office of His Excellency the Minister of Health. The Office is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the objectives and priorities of Oman Vision 2040 within the health sector and ensuring the alignment of health plans, programs, and projects with the national directions and strategic goals of the Vision. The Office plays a pivotal role in the governance and monitoring of strategic programs and priority health projects through the application of monitoring, evaluation, and performance measurement methodologies. It tracks progress rates, identifies challenges, and proposes solutions and alternative plans that contribute to accelerating implementation and achieving targets efficiently and effectively. The Office also works to strengthen integration and coordination among various relevant entities and institutions within and outside the Ministry, ensuring unified efforts and optimal resource allocation toward achieving the health sector objectives under Oman Vision 2040, ultimately contributing to the development of a leading healthcare system that aligns with international best practices and achieves sustainable health development.

The Vision Office was activated in 2022 after adopting the health priority in the Strategic Programs Volume of the Tenth Five-Year Development Plan 2021-2025. Following this, the health priority targets were endorsed on January 22, 2023, and subsequently, the supervisory committee for the strategic programs in the healthcare sector of Oman Vision 2040 was formed on February 5, 2023. This committee was tasked with governing the strategic programs and associated projects within the health priority of Oman Vision 2040
