South Sharqiya Governorate
The directorate general of health services in Sur city and it is 200 kilo meters distant from the capital Muscat. It provides health service throughout the four hospitals, two EHC , eighteen health centers and Sur Diabetes Center , it provides all aspects of primary health care and also provides the secondary care throughout the hospitals and EHC curative, preventive and educational communities where there are for the regions within. There is eradication of malaria department and the Sur Nursing Institute.
