Khasab Hospital

Khasab New Hospital is the referral hospital in Musandam Governorate, representing a qualitative leap in healthcare services within the governorate by providing comprehensive and specialized medical care with the latest technologies. The hospital aims to enhance the quality of therapeutic and diagnostic services, reduce the need for patient transfers outside the governorate, and support the sustainability of the healthcare sector in line with Oman’s future vision.
Mission

To strengthen local healthcare delivery by expanding specialized services under one roof while promoting safety, dignity, innovation and continuous improvement.

Vision

To provide high quality, sustainable, health care services to the community offering quality, with high standard, patient safety and exceeding patient’s needs and satisfaction.

History

The beginnings of the establishment of Khasab Hospital were in 1973, as it was the first hospital to be built in Musandam Governorate, with the dawn of the blessed renaissance during the reign of His Majesty the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may God have mercy on him. Over the years, and with the growth and urbanization witnessed in the country, the place became in need of a larger health institution that would meet the needs of the people and bring the treatment services that required travel to the capital and others. The inauguration of the new Khasab Hospital on January 11, under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq's wife, came to be a home for healing, a beacon of science and training, and a medical edifice that keeps pace with the aspirations of the stage. From the distance to the proximity of services, from the hassle of travel to the ease of access, from the limited possibilities to the spaciousness of care and the integration of services... Khasab Hospital continues its journey to embody the meanings of giving, and affirms the presence of renaissance in every inch of the land of Oman, a beacon of healing, an address of trust, and a kiss of care that shortens distances and opens doors of hope.
