As part of efforts to promote reproductive health, the Women and Child Health Department organized a training workshop on the contraceptive implant method at Barceló Hotel in Al Musannah, with the participation of healthcare professionals from various primary healthcare institutions and Rustaq Hospital.

The workshop aimed to enhance the skills and competencies of healthcare providers delivering birth spacing services by introducing the implant as a safe and effective contraceptive method. It also highlighted its mechanism of action, benefits, contraindications, and the appropriate approach for providing medical counseling to women interested in using this method.
