Launch of “Kidney First Responders” Program to Train Dialysis Patient Caregivers in Al Musannah
Coinciding with World Kidney Day, the Nephrology Unit in Al Musannah launched the “Kidney First Responders” program to train caregivers of dialysis patients, aiming to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance patient safety and improve quality of life.
The three-day program included lectures and practical training sessions covering kidney diseases, treatment methods, medical care, and emergency management. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ level of awareness.
The program concluded with the honoring of participants and the awarding of “Kidney First Responder” certificates, emphasizing the role of the family as a key partner in healthcare.
The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Nasser bin Abdullah Al Shukaili, Director General of South Al Batinah Health Services, and attended by several health leaders.
