Medical Achievement at Rustaq Referral Hospital
In a remarkable medical achievement, the medical team at Rustaq Referral Hospital successfully saved the life of a patient who sustained severe injuries, including a rupture of the inferior vena cava, the left iliac vein, and the small intestine—injuries considered among the most critical surgical emergencies.
The patient arrived at the hospital in critical condition, suffering from massive internal bleeding. An immediate, multidisciplinary response involving the Emergency, Surgery, Anesthesia, and Intensive Care departments ensured prompt intervention. The patient underwent a highly complex surgical procedure to control the bleeding and successfully repair the injuries.
Following the operation, the patient's condition stabilized, and he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit, where he began his recovery. This achievement reflects the expertise of the national healthcare professionals and the hospital's readiness to manage complex and life-threatening emergency cases
