South Al Batinah Health Celebrates World Immunization Week to Promote Community Protection
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote public health and prevent communicable diseases, the Directorate General of Health Services in South Al Batinah Governorate celebrated World Immunization Week under the theme, “Immunization for All is Humanly Possible.” The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Nasser bin Abdullah Al Shukaili, Director General of Health Services in South Al Batinah, and was attended by Dr. Nasser bin Salem Al Ghanboosi, Director General of the Directorate General of Education in South Al Batinah.
The celebration brought together primary healthcare institutions, Rustaq Hospital, and the School Health Department to raise public awareness about the importance of vaccines and their vital role in protecting individuals and communities from communicable diseases. The event also featured an educational exhibition highlighting the significance of immunization throughout all stages of life.
At the conclusion of the event, attendees commended the dedicated efforts of the Immunization Program teams, emphasizing the importance of continued support for the program as the first line of defense in safeguarding public health and ensuring a healthier future for generations to come.
