The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to announce to the citizens and residents, who have been accepted to perform the Hajj pilgrimage this year (1445H/2024G)
The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to announce to the citizens and residents, who have been accepted to perform the Hajj pilgrimage this year (1445H/2024G), to head to the health institutions specified by the Ministry in each Governorate to receive the required following vaccines:
1. The Quadric-vaccination against Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (ACYW135)
Receiving one dose of the Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (ACYW135) helps in safeguarding against the complications of meningitis. This vaccine provides five-year protection. People who have previously taken the vaccine and can provide proof of it are not required to take the vaccine again unless it has been more than five years since their last dose.
2. Seasonal flu vaccine.
Getting vaccinated with a single dose of the seasonal flu vaccine can protect against complications and provide immunity.
Therefore, MOH urges all prospective Hajj pilgrims to receive vaccinations at least ten days before their travel.
The above requirements are considered a prerequisite to entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the spread of infection and safeguard public health.
