In a significant step to enhance the corneal transplantation program
a team from the Ministry of Health collaborated with the Military Medical City and visited cornea banks in the United States to study the establishment of a national cornea bank in the Sultanate of Oman.
So far, the program has successfully performed more than 115 corneal transplant surgeries.
