The Ministry of Health, represented by the Medical Physics Section at the Directorate General of Projects and Engineering Services, celebrated the World Medical Physics Day 2026, under the theme “Advancing Global Health Equity – The Ethical Foundation of Medical Physics.” The event aims to highlight the importance of medical physics and its vital role in enhancing patient safety and improving the quality of healthcare services.The event will highlight the essential role of medical physics in ensuring the safe and effective use of medical technologies, improving the accuracy of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and implementing quality assurance and radiation protection standards, thereby safeguarding patients and healthcare professionals.The programme will also showcase the Medical Physics Section’s efforts in developing specialised services, strengthening quality assurance and radiation safety practices, and presenting key initiatives and development projects.
