The Emergency and Crisis Department of South Al Batinah Health, in coordination with the Emergency Management Center, participated in the GEOCX 2024 exercise organized by the World Health Organization (WHO). This exercise is a simulation for activating Health Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) and was held in Addis Ababa with the aim of enhancing coordination efforts between Health Emergency Operations Centers in the region.

The resident team commended the role of Oman’s Health Emergency Operations Center in providing an integrated, effective, and well-organized medical response in collaboration with various emergency sectors. This exercise aims to strengthen the role of operations centers in managing health crises in coordination with the WHO.
