The Musandam First Conference on Disease Surveillance and Control

The Musandam First Conference on Disease Surveillance and Control was launched on January 6, 2025, for two days under the theme “Collaborative Approach to Enhance Disease Prevention and Control.” This marked the first event of its kind in Oman, focusing on strengthening public health efforts in surveillance and disease prevention. Conference Objectives to address Emerging Health Challenges , to Enhance Multisectoral Collaboration and to Promote partnerships between public health sectors and other stakeholders to improve community health.
Over 120 healthcare professionals from across Oman, including:Epidemiologists, Public health expert and International and local experts from organizations such as:Oman Ministry of Health, Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, WHO Regional Office and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, USA)
This conference serves as a milestone in Oman’s public health initiatives, aligning with Oman Vision 2040 to enhance the quality of life for citizens and residents.
