Primary Health Care Forum
The Primary Health Care Forum has commenced in Wilayat Al Jabal Al Akhdar, organized by the Directorate General of Health Services in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. The forum brings together healthcare professionals and experts to discuss the latest scientific developments in the field of primary health care and to showcase successful initiatives.
The forum included several working papers and field initiatives, such as the “Iqra’ni” initiative related to the nutrition card, as well as the “Ghiras” and “Wellness Bag” initiatives. These efforts aim to produce practical recommendations that contribute to improving service quality, enhancing digital transformation, and fostering innovation in healthcare institutions across the Sultanate of Oman.
Ahmed bin Saif Al Sabari, Head of the Quality Assurance and Patient Safety Department, stated that the forum emphasizes the importance of integration among various healthcare institutions, reinforces a culture of continuous development, and supports innovation in the healthcare sector. This contributes to building a more efficient and sustainable health system capable of adapting to changes and meeting the aspirations of society in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate and the Sultanate of Oman in general, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
Al Sabari added that the forum addresses key topics of interest to the Ministry of Health, including innovation in the healthcare system, digital transformation, and the latest developments in the clinical management of common and chronic diseases, which are fundamental pillars for the future and sustainability of modern healthcare.
The forum was patronized by Dr. Sami bin Sulaiman Al Farsi, Director General of the Women and Children’s Health Center at the Ministry of Health, in the presence of Dr. Ali bin Abdullah Al Maqbali, Director General of Health Services in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
