National Cybersecurity Exercise in the Healthcare Sector 2026
The Electronic Information Security Section participated in the National Cybersecurity Exercise for the Healthcare Sector, which was held as part of the 6th Oman Cybersecurity Conference, with the participation of several public and private healthcare institutions and strategic partners. The exercise aimed to enhance the cybersecurity readiness of the healthcare sector, improve cyber incident response capabilities, protect patient data and critical healthcare systems, and strengthen coordination and integration among relevant entities. The exercise also included a realistic simulation of a cyberattack and its impact on healthcare services, with the objective of measuring response speed and decision-making during crises, while ensuring service continuity and patient safety. In addition, it sought to identify areas for improvement and strengthen national cybersecurity capabilities.
