Integration Team Meeting in Governorate –Musandam, Batinah, Alburaimi
Joint work between health institutions is considered a necessity towards opening great horizons for cooperation in various specialties and trying to find solutions to many obstacles and challenges. Out of the belief of the health services directorates of the governorates of Buraimi, Musandam and North Al Batinah in joint work and cooperation, the idea of complementarity between these three directorates came.
The integration team between the governorates aims to:
1) Improving the quality of health services: By achieving integration between governorates, experiences and knowledge can be exchanged between different health facilities, which contributes to improving the quality of services provided, and applying the best medical practices in all governorates.
2) Rationalizing the use of resources: Integration contributes to improving the exploitation of available resources by distributing them more efficiently between governorates, whether these resources are human or material, which reduces waste and ensures the provision of health services.
3) Strengthening cooperation and coordination between health facilities: Integration aims to enhance cooperation between health institutions in various governorates, which facilitates patient referral and exchange of medical information and data, and ensures the provision of continuous and coordinated health care.
4) Providing specialized health services: Integration makes it possible to provide specialized health services in some governorates, which reduces the need to transfer patients to hospitals outside the governorate, and saves time, effort and costs for patients and their families.
5) Effective response to health emergencies and crises: Integration contributes to enhancing the health system’s ability to respond to health emergencies and crises by distributing tasks and resources quickly and effectively between the three governorates.
6) Strengthening comprehensive health planning: Integration helps develop comprehensive health plans that take into account the health needs of the community as a whole, and ensure that the services provided are compatible with national health plans.
During a series of meetings of the integration team between the governorates, which began in November 2022, a large number of proposals were raised that contribute to achieving the goals of integration, and the proposals varied between proposals related to providing medical services, health equipment, training, and exchange visits from the institutions of the three governorates, and this meeting aims Hosted by Musandam Governorate, it discussed many proposals related to health research, the visiting doctor initiative, and specialized exchange visits.
