Opening of Al Mazyouna Hospital in Dhofar Governorate
His Excellency Mr. Marwan bin Turki bin Mahmoud Al Said, the esteemed Governor of Dhofar, presided over the official inauguration of Al Mazyouna Hospital, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health.
The opening ceremony was hosted at the Mazyouna Police Center hall, where it featured a speech from the Ministry of Health delivered by Dr. Ali bin Abdullah Al Maqbali, Director General of the General Directorate of Health Services for Dhofar, and an overview of the project presented by Engineer Yusuf bin Yaqub Am Bu'ali, Minister's Advisor for Engineering Affairs.
Following the ceremony, His Excellency the Governor of Dhofar and the attendees moved to the site of Al Mazyouna Hospital to unveil the commemorative plaque marking the official opening of the project. The attendees then toured the various facilities of the hospital.
Al Mazyouna Hospital is a significant healthcare project aimed at reducing the need to travel to Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, thus shortening long travel distances. The total area of the hospital is 90,000 square meters, with the current utilized area being approximately 13,649 square meters.
The hospital features 69 beds and includes various facilities such as outpatient clinics, a laboratory, a nephrology unit, surgical and internal medicine departments, neonatal and maternity wards, an obstetrics unit, an operating room, an emergency and trauma unit, among other associated services.
