Al Awabi School Health Team Organizes “Together for Students’ Health and Wellbeing” Symposium
Under the patronage of Dr. Khalid bin Salem Al Dhahli, Director of the Directorate of Disease Surveillance and Prevention at South Al Batinah Health, the School Health Department, represented by the Al Awabi Wilayat Team, organized a symposium titled “Together for Students’ Health and Wellbeing” aimed at promoting students’ health and safety within the school environment.
The symposium featured a number of diverse presentations addressing school health services and programs, including the health and safety of students living with diabetes, eye health, as well as introducing nursing staff to the appropriate procedures for handling cases of abuse in schools and mechanisms for managing common behavioral disorders among students.
At the conclusion of the symposium, participants who achieved gold-level awards, along with trainers involved in the Health-Promoting Schools Initiative, were honored.

The Royal Hospital, in collaboration with Khoula Hospital and the Oman Center for Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation, successfully performed a comprehensive organ donation procedure involving a patient declared brain-dead.
