The General Directorate of Health Services in Al-Dhahirah Governorate, represented by the Training Department and in collaboration with the Assistant Director General’s Office for Administrative and Financial Affairs, organized a workshop today titled “Empowering Young Leaders: Learn from the Leaders.” The event took place at the Al-Muhallab bin Abi Sufrah Hall at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Ibri, under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Kalbani, Director-General, and in the presence of several officials from public and private institutions.

The workshop featured a series of lectures and interactive sessions delivered by a distinguished group of leaders and experts in the fields of leadership and supervision. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Hatmi, Director of the Integrated Operations Center at Petroleum Development Oman, with a lecture on the requirements of effective leadership.

This was followed by a lecture by Sheikh Ahmed bin Suwaidan Al-Balushi, a retired minister, who discussed the stages of leadership development. The sessions concluded with a lecture by Engineer Abdulrahman bin Humaid Al-Yahyai, CEO of the Integrated Gas Company, focusing on enhancing leadership skills among young people.

The workshop targeted employees of government units in Al-Dhahirah Governorate and healthcare workers in the general health directorates across various governorates of the Sultanate. It aimed to develop leadership competencies, empower young professionals to achieve excellence in their workplaces, and foster communication with experienced leaders while equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge for effective leadership.

The workshop was met with significant interaction and praise from attendees, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in preparing young leaders and supporting their endeavors across various fields.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the speakers and supporting entities were honored in recognition of their pivotal role in the success of this event.
