H.E. Dr. Said Harib Al Lamki, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs, paid a visit to several healthcare institutions in Al Wusta Governorate.
Al-Lamki visited Haima Hospital, where he briefed on the work progress in various departments, wards, and units of the hospital. He met with the staff and healthcare workers, listened to suggestions and opinions on improving the quality of services provided, and urged everyone to exert maximum effort to overcome challenges and facilitate the delivery of healthcare with the required quality.
During his tour of the hospital, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs inaugurated the orthopedic surgery clinic and the CT scan unit. Launching such services emphasizes the Ministry's commitment to supporting healthcare services in the governorates to achieve the highest required standards, facilitating access for citizens without the need to travel to central hospitals in Muscat. Furthermore, it aims to enhance the services of referral hospitals in the governorates and achieve decentralization, thereby alleviating the increasing burden on hospitals in Muscat and reducing waiting lists in these hospitals.
His visit also included Mahoot, Madirah, and Wadi Al-Sail Health Centers, where he met with the officials and listened to detailed explanations about the work progress in these centers. He also heard their suggestions and opinions for developing and improving the services provided at these centers, urging them to exert more effort to facilitate the provision of quality and efficient healthcare services to patients.
During his visit to Mahoot Health Center, H.E. Dr. Said Al Lamki inaugurated the kidney unit officially and listened to a comprehensive explanation of the services provided to beneficiaries. This new project is a significant addition to healthcare services in the Governorate.
On another note, as part of the visit program, H.E. Dr. Said Harib Al Lamki met with H.E. Sheikh Ahmed bin Muslim Al Kathiri, the Governor of Al Wusta Governorate. They discussed various topics related to healthcare services provided in the Governorate. The two sides also discussed the Ministry's perspectives on addressing the challenges facing healthcare services in the governorate, the plans of the Ministry to elevate these services at the governorate level, and the future projects that will be implemented.
