Al-Massarah Highlights Health-Care Staff Safety
The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by Al-Massarah Hospital, Nursing Department (2) organized recently the Health-Care Staff Safety Conference under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al-Hosni, MOH Undersecretary for Health Affairs in the presence of MOH senior officials at Al-Razi Ballroom of the Hospital.
Around 300 participants have attended the Conference from various government and private health institutions.
The Conference, which came under the theme: "Be Aware…Stay Safe" aimed to promote and raise the awareness of the staff of the highest health and safety standards. It also highlighted the safety of healthcare staff in all specializations so that they can fully perform their work, establishing a safety culture and risks management among the staff to achieve a safe and stable work environment, as well as raising the awareness on the health workers rights and familiarizing the employers on the procedures followed during fires.
The Conference included lectures presented by different health institutions like the Department of Environmental Health & Occupational Safety, Khawla Hospital, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat Municipality and Al-Massarah Hospital. The lectures touched on the risk assessment, legal protection for health workers while performing their duties, legal liability for medical errors, individual protection and safety…etc.
On the sidelines of the Conference, an exhibition was organized with participation of the Institute of Public Administration, Public Authority for Civil Defence & Ambulance and Nursing Department (2) of Al-Massarah Hospital.
