The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Directorate General of Planning & Studies (DGPS), the Health Polices & Systems Section held today the second workshop on upgrading the planning work and qualifying the health personnel concerned with preparing the health polices and strategies within the framework of its ongoing activities at the Lectures Hall in the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. 

The workshop was attended by Dr. Ahmed al-Qasmi, MOH Director General of Planning & Studies, where he pointed out in his opening speech to the importance of health policies and strategies that related to improving the performance and development of health systems. He also pointed out to the responsibility of participants in practical fields related to designing and preparing the policies and strategies, as well as activated in the reality.  

The four-day workshop gathered (35) directors and heads of planning, follow-up and statistics departments and sections. In addition, local and international experts were lectured in this workshop. It also includes practices on the way of formulating policies and strategies, as well as translating knowledge into policies and practices.
