The Ministry of Health (MOH) launched yesterday (Sunday) the E-Health Portal at Al- Massarah Hospital under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ali Talib Al Hanai, MOH’s Undersecretary of Planning Affairs, with the attendance of Dr. Salim Sultan Al Ruzaiqui, Head of Information Technology Authority (ITA), and number of the Ministry and ITA’s senior officials.

Launching the E-Health Portal is part of the strategic plan of the digital transformation of the Ministry of Health.  

The Ministry aims to keeping up the Sultanate’s trend in transforming into an electronic government, as well as developing the quality of the government health services. It also sought to reduce the digital gap and transformation for many services to ensure the integration with various public and private institutions in order to reach a free-paper digital environments.

The portal contains more than 100 e-services yielded from the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the Information Technology Authority.

In his address, H.E. Dr. Al Hanai reaffirmed the Ministry’s capability in making a whole distinguished system which contains more than thirty systems such as Al Shifa, Nabdh Al Shifa, e-transformation, e-reporting, besides the Blood Bank, Central Laboratory and others.
