Executive Body of Gulf Health Council Meets
The 87th Meeting of Executive Body Members of the Health Council of the GCC countries, which chaired by the Sultanate commenced today (Wednesday) at Anantara Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar Resort.
Dr. Said Al-Lamki, Director General of Primary Health Care of Ministry of Health (MOH), and member of Executive Body of the Health Council of the GCC countries initiated the meeting and welcomed the participants. Al-Lamki touched upon the importance of the meeting and the topics that will be discussed during the Meeting.
During two-day, the Meeting discusses a number of issues related to the health services in the GCC countries including the chronic diseases, Gulf Cancer Center, unified purchase and expatriates health check-up program.
In addition, the Meeting addresses the central drug registration, registration of medical devices and manufacturers and registration of veterinary preparations. Furthermore, the Meeting highlights the technical issues including enhancing the technical committees, tobacco control, the first Health Council Conference, health researches and economics.
In financial affairs, the meeting will review the 2019 budget of the Health Council of the GCC countries.
