Within the field visit conducted by the Ministry of Health’s officials, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saif Al Hosni, MOH’s Undersecretary of Health Affairs visited a number of Health institutions in Al Wusta Governorate, accompanied by Khalifa Al Y’aqoobi, Director General of the Health Services at the Governorate.

H.E. Dr. Al Hosni’s visit included Al Duqum and Al Jasir hospitals in addition to some of primary healthcare institutions where he was briefed on the workflow, the health indicators, and the progress made in the health programs at these institutions. He further met the administrations and the health workers of the respective health institutions and reviewed with them the possibility of expanding the health services taking into consideration the increasing number of clients according to the health statistics. He additionally received their opinions on how to improve the quality of the delivered services.

Within his visit, Al Hosani met members of the Governorate’s Municipal councils as well the citizens who came in the visited health institutions for regular check where he listened to their notes and suggestions regarding the delivered health services.

It is worth to mention that the MOH conducts regularly similar visits with the purpose of reviewing the progress of the work in the three healthcare levels of the health institutions (Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary), identifying their needs and requirements, and studying the development of the health system infrastructure.
