The Ministry of Health and Shell Oman Marketing Company (SAOG) signed an agreement today (Wednesday) at the Ministry’s headquarters to support the Community Nursing Program and provide new medical equipment.
Under the agreement, Shell Oman Marketing will sponsor a specialized training program for nurses working within the Community Nursing Program across Oman. The initiative also includes the provision of new medical equipment to benefit both program participants and the responsible administrative units.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry by Dr. Badriya Mohsen Al Rashdiya, Director General of Health Services and Programs, and on behalf of Shell Oman Marketing by Mahmoud bin Abdullah Al Abri, General Manager of Corporate Relations.
The signing ceremony was attended by a number of officials from both the Ministry and Shell Oman Marketing.
Dr. Badriya Al Rashdiya emphasized the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors in serving the national interest. She praised Shell Oman Marketing for its valuable initiative to support the Community Nursing Program and provide new medical equipment, expressing the Ministry’s appreciation for the company’s ongoing contributions to enhancing the quality of healthcare services in Oman.
For his part, Mahmoud Al Abri reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with government institutions in support of national development goals, including the health sector and the services provided to beneficiaries.
This agreement forms part of Shell Oman Marketing’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, which focuses on supporting community services and sustainable development projects that benefit Omani citizens across the country.
The initiative also reflects the Ministry of Health’s continuous efforts to build the capacities of healthcare workers, enhance nursing skills, and equip professionals with the tools and resources needed to align with Oman Vision 2040 goals, ensuring a dignified life for all citizens. It further underscores Shell Oman’s belief in the value of strategic partnerships that foster effective community engagement and serve the public good.
