H.E. Dr. Hilal Ali Al-Sabti, Minister of Health and Chairman of Health Endowment Foundation (ATHAR), presided today (Sunday) over the second meeting of ATHAR Board of Directors at the Ministry of Health headquarters.
The session commenced with the approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, followed by a review of ongoing projects and discussions about the foundation's marketing strategy.
Hilal Al-Sarmi, CEO of Athar, noted that the second meeting of the board discussed key topics including funding mechanisms, organizing donation drives, and activating platforms for fundraising. The board also focused on the health sector's needs for 2025 and approved a schedule for visits to various governorates and meetings with private sector institutions and businesspeople. Moreover, the concept of a Health Endowment Week was discussed.
Al-Sarmi encouraged community members to contribute to the health endowment foundation, emphasizing that such donations play a crucial role in enhancing healthcare services. He highlighted that donations are vital funding sources for health projects and represent a significant form of social solidarity driven by community responsibility.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Ajami, Vice-Chair of the Foundation’s Board, Ahmed Al-Abri, a board member, and several other board members.
