As part of the celebration of the Omani Women’s Day that is marked on October 17 every year, the Ministry of Health, represented by the Personnel Welfare section honored on Monday a number of (50) female health workers from various specialties, hospitals and directorates in the governorates.
The honoring ceremony manifested the Omani women’s participation in the comprehensive health development process in various medical professions with particular role exerted in combating Covid-19 pandemic. The ceremony further recognized women workers efforts in the field of health.
The celebration aimed at reviewing the achievements of Omani women in the health sector, and honoring them for their effective contribution to building the nation and preserving the population’s health. In addition, the event emphasized the prominent role of women in serving the individuals, families and society in the health field.
The Sultanate has assigned women a distinct position and put emphasis on their role in advancing the country in all fields. Woman is taking great portion in the field of health ranging from doctors, nurses, technicians and administrators.
