H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health, presided today (Wednesday) over the second meeting of the National Committee for Narcotics & Psychotropic Substances (NCNPS). The meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Health’s headquarter, joined senior members of the National Committee from the concerned Ministries.

The meeting reviewed what have been carried out from the previous meeting’s decisions and recommendations. In addition, it reviewed the achievements and challenges of the awareness and media plan, as well as the training plan.

The meeting also discussed the National Narcotics & Psychotropic Substances control Strategy. It further reviewed the latest developments in the services and projects regarding the treatment and the rehabilitation delivered to the patients addicted to drugs and psychotropic substances.
