Health Minister Inaugurates "Nursing Future" Forum
The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Directorate General of Nursing Affairs organized today (Sunday) the "Nursing Future" Forum at Crown Plaza Hotel.
The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health with the presence of H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif al-Hosni, MOH Undersecretary of Health Affairs, H.E. Dr. Fatma bint Mohammed Al-Ajmi, MOH Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial & Planning Affairs along with directors general and nursing section heads from various Governorates across the Sultanate.
The three-day Forum aims to improve the basic skills of nursing leaderships to be able to innovate in nursing care in order to provide safe and quality care. The Forum also promotes the essential nursing care among the nursing groups, as well as the importance of scientific research and strategies in improving the nursing care practices and beneficiary satisfaction.
The Forum agenda includes a number of scientific sessions that highlights the nursing future, strengthening the capacity of nursing groups in research and studies, and expanding their roles in providing basic nursing services.
A number of 24 health institutions from various governorates across the Sultanate are participating in the Forum.
During the event, (11) nursing directors from different governorates, (13) hospitals and (6) retirees from nursing leaderships have been honored by the Minister of Health.
