Health Minister Receives INCB Delegation
H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Saidi, Minister of Health and chairman of the National Committee for Narcotics & Psychotropic Substances, received in his office today (Sunday) the delegation of the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) chaired by H.E. Major-General Ahmed Kamal al-Din al-Samak, member of Counter Narcotics Trust Fund, member of Committee of National Strategic Planning for Drug Control, member of International Narcotics Control Board in Vienna, currently visiting the Sultanate.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged the matters of common interest and discussed the efforts of the National Committee for Narcotics & Psychotropic Substances.
The visit aims to discuss the organizational control measures applied on importation and distribution of the narcotic substances subjected to the international control in the Sultanate, as well as review the current status of trafficking and abuse of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif al-Hosni, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Health Affairs.
On the sideline of the visit, the guest and his accompanying delegation visited the Headquarters of the National Committee for Narcotics & Psychotropic Substances.
