H.E. Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, received today (Monday) at the Ministry of Health headquarters H.E. Dr. Hanan Balkhy, the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean. 
The meeting was attended by H.E. Dr. Saeed Harib Al Lamki, MOH’s Undersecretary for Health Affairs, and H.E. Dr. Ahmed Salim Al Mandhari, MOH’s Undersecretary for Planning and Health Regulation. Dr. Balkhy was accompanied by a delegation from the WHO, led by Dr. Jean Jabbour, WHO Representative in Oman.
The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation frameworks between Oman and the WHO, as well as joint work priorities under the country cooperation strategy, aimed at achieving common goals in health and development.
Notably, this is Dr. Balkhy’s first visit to Oman since she took the office, during which she is participating in the first Oman Conference on Healthy Cities to be held in Dhofar Governorate.
