In line with the country’s celebration of the Omani Women Day that falls on the 17^th October of every year, the Ministry of Health (MOH) will mark the day next ( Sunday) at the Ministry’s headquarter to honor woman’s magnificent role in advancing forward the health sector in general as well encountering the challenges during the current COVID-19 pandemic in particular.

The event, held under the auspices of H.H. Dr. Sayyida Mona bint Fahd al Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation at Sultan Qaboos University, will highlight the achievements of Omani women in the health sector, and honor them for their effective contribution in nation building.

It is worth noting that Oman has been a pioneer in promoting women's rights, strengthening their role and preserving their rights on an equal basis with men. In the health field, woman in Oman is contributing effectively as a physician, nurse, technical or administrative figure.
