The Higher Institute of Health Specialties (HIHS) held a ceremony on (Wednesday) to celebrate the graduation of its 29th cohort, awarding (192) graduates from the institute’s specialized health programs.
The ceremony, took place at Al Bustan Palace Hotel, was under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Ghuson bin Hilal Al Alawi, Chairman of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority.
The event program included a speech by Dr. Manal Al-Zadjali, Dean of HIHS, who highlighted that investment in health competencies is a cornerstone for building an advanced and sustainable healthcare system, and the graduates are an integral part of this national project, with high expectations placed upon them.
Graduate Arwa bint Ahmed Al-Hadi, specializing in the Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery, delivered the graduates’ speech, reflecting on their readiness to begin professional careers in health, emphasizing the values of compassion, dedication, and responsibility toward patients, and the importance of applying the knowledge and ethics gained during their studies.
The ceremony featured a visual presentation about the Institute and a poetry performance.
At the conclusion, the patron of the event honored the top-performing students, presented diplomas to all graduates, and recognized the private sector institutions that sponsored the event.
The Higher Institute of Health Specialties offers ten academic programs, including postgraduate diplomas in Critical Care Nursing in Pediatric and Neonatology, Mental Health Nursing, Adult Critical Care Nursing, Emergency Nursing, Infection Prevention and Control, Nephrology Nursing, Community Health Nursing Practice, Health Services Management, Midwifery, and Diploma in Sterile Processing Technology.
