The Higher Institute for Health Specialties (HIHS), represented by the Postgraduate Diploma Program in Community Health Nursing Practice, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Health Services of Muscat Governorate and the Ministry of Education, organized today (Monday) a handover ceremony for the community health programs.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Mandhari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Planning and Health Regulation, in the presence of Dr. Manal Abdul Majeed Al-Zadjali, the Dean of the Higher Institute for Health Specialties.
The ceremony aimed to deliver the student programs of the Postgraduate Diploma in Community Health Nursing Practice to the relevant authorities, including health centers, schools, and Wilayats in Muscat Governorate, to ensure the continuity of implementing these community health programs.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari stressed that the World Health Organization always praises, encourages, and supports the implementation of such community health programs and others, indicating that health is for everyone, and it has become everyone's responsibility now.
The Postgraduate Diploma Program in Community Health Nursing Practice is considered one of the important programs offered by the Higher Institute for Health Specializations. It aims to enhance the nursing aspect by equipping individuals with the necessary skills to assess health issues, plan and implement programs based on studies and research in various community settings such as schools, majlis, villages, and healthcare institutions, in order to promote health in the Omani society in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
