A meeting between the Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Directorate General of Diseases Control & Surveillance and the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention & Control (GCDPC) concluded at the MOH headquarters.

The meeting touched upon establishing a public health authority or a national center for disease prevention and control in the Gulf countries, introducing the current operation process for the epidemiological emergency, identifying risks and response, introducing the under surveillance reported communicable diseases, discussing the risk factors of non-communicable and morbidity burden.

Furthermore, the meeting introduced the vaccination programs listed in the national vaccination program and coverage levels, priority public health programs and policies at the national level, as well as improving the emerging tools in primary care in order to promote the public health and available data and monitoring the non-communicable diseases.
