H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health received today (Sunday) at his office a delegation from the Faculty of Health Sciences of the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon, with the presence of His Excellency MOH’s Undersecretary for Planning Affairs.

The meeting explored means of cooperation in the field of research and others, additionally the Health Minister briefed the delegation on the Sultanate’s health care in its various levels.   

Furthermore, the Lebanese health delegation met the Planning Affairs Undersecretary with the presence of the Director General of Planning and Studies as well as the Director of Studies and Research Center. His Excellency gave a detailed explanation of the Ministry’s studies and research, pointing out at some data and information issued by the MOH. The delegation was also informed on the Ministry’s strategy in health system future planning (Health 2050).  

Moreover, the Lebanese health delegation visited North Al Khuwair Health Center being a model in the Primary Health Care system in the Sultanate. 

It is worth mentioning that the delegation presented a lecture at the Royal Hospital on Health in the Arab World. In addition, the delegation will hold similar meetings with other governmental agencies relating to areas of health education, research, and studies.
