Ministry of Health Celebrates Muscat OCHS & HIHS Graduation Ceremony
A graduation and oath-taking ceremony of (428) graduates of the second batch of Oman Collage of Health Sciences of Muscat Governorate and new batch of the Higher Institute of Health Specializations will take place tomorrow evening (Thursday).
Secretary General of Education Council His Excellency Dr. Saeed Hamad Al Rubaie will patron the event at the Oman Conventions & Exhibitions Center (OCEC)
The total graduates number of the Oman College of Health Sciences second batch in Muscat reaches (311) students holding bachelor and diploma degrees in nursing, pharmacy, health information management, medical laboratories, medical imaging, physiotherapy, and oral health.
(117) nurses from the Higher Institute for Health Specializations will graduate with bachelor and postgraduate diploma degrees specializing in emergency, health information management, infection control, mental health, adult critical care, community health, and midwifery.
The establishment of the Oman College of Health Sciences and the Higher Institute for Health Specializations came under Royal Decree No 18/2018.
OCHS grants the bachelor degree in health sciences programs (medical imaging, medical laboratories, physical therapy, oral and dental health) in addition to pharmacy programs, health information management, and nursing.
The Higher Institute for Health Specializations grants a postgraduate diploma in nursing specialties in (kidney, neonatal and pediatric critical care, adult critical care, mental health, emergency, and community health) as well specialties of Health Services Administration, Infection Control and Midwifery), in addition to the Bachelor’s Degree in General Nursing.
