As part of celebrating World Blood Donor Day which comes on 14th of June every year, Ministry of Health represented by Blood Banks Services department celebrated yesterday ( Tuesday) and for the nineteenth year in succession the honoring of blood donors from individuals and contributing parties who took part in making donation campaigns successful.

The celebration ceremony, which took place in Muscat Intercontinental hotel, was under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health with more than 250 attendees.

Under the theme “Thank you for saving my life” which encourages people to donate blood without asking for anything in return, thus the ministry aims from honoring the blood donors to recognize the donors’ beautiful stands and appreciate their noble deed. Therefore, this will promote other groups of society to take the same method.
