The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Investment Department, the Directorate General of Planning and Studies, and the Directorate General of Health Services and Programs organized today (Sunday) a dialogue session on Developing Radiology Services in the Sultanate of Oman under the patronage H.E Dr. Ahmed Salem Al-Mandhari, MOH Undersecretary for Planning and Health Regulation.
The workshop was attended by a group of experts and doctors from various health sectors from the Ministry of Health, University Medical City, Sultan Qaboos University, Military Medical City, Ministry of Finance, Ithkaa Company and other specialist participants.
Dr. Qassim Al Salmi, Director General of the General Directorate of Planning and Studies pointed out that this dialogue session comes within the framework of improving the quality of health services and enhancing spending efficiency through optimal use of modern technology. He added that the session which brought together experts and researchers in the fields of radiology aims to discuss the latest developments in radiology imaging and present visions and proposals to draw a roadmap for radiology services in the Sultanate of Oman in order to achieve the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
The session included lectures and working papers on radiology services, as well as discussions on the latest international technologies and solutions in the field of radiology services, with a focus on the applications of artificial intelligence in diagnostics and radiology reporting.
Moreover, there was an emphasis on enhancing collaboration with the private sector.
