On the sidelines of the opening of the 33rd edition of Comics Global Technology Show 2024 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, the Ministry of Health (MOH) launched today, Monday, the Medical Fitness Screening (MFS) service (Pre-Arrival Medical Report Attestation service by linking with the Wafid system).
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Hilal Ali Hilal Al-Sabti, Minister of Health, in the presence of Badr Awlad Thani, MOH Director General of the Information Technology and Digital Health, and Dr. Amal Saif Al Maani, MOH Director General of the Disease Surveillance and Control Center at the Ministry of Health, along with several officials from the Ministry.
The Minister of Health toured the Ministry's booth, as well as the participating authorities and institutions, and praised the officials for their considerable efforts.
Omar Abdul Malik Al Mazrouei, Director of the Maintenance and Technical Support Department at the General Directorate of Information Technology and Digital Health, pointed out that the MFS service aims to improve the speed of transaction processing and expedite the process of authenticating medical examinations. This saves time and effort for beneficiaries and ensures the integrity of medical certificates by electronically verifying their authenticity and their issuance from accredited and recognized centers.
Al Mazrouei added that this service can be utilized for self-registration. Residents can self-register for medical fitness screening online. Additionally, Sanad offices can also benefit from this service instead of going to the MOH medical fitness examination centers, residents can complete the authentication process from Sanad offices. Furthermore, it can be used to verify data and its accuracy through the Wafid platform, which is an electronic platform that provides a reliable database for medical examinations. After verifying the data and paying the required fees, the beneficiary can also visit the Royal Oman Police website to complete visa issuance procedures. This service aims to streamline procedures, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of the provided medical examinations.
