H.E. Dr. Said Harib Al-Lamki, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs, visited Al Mazyona Hospital project in Dhofar Governorate, whose construction works have been completed.
Al Mazyona Hospital is a significant addition to the healthcare services in Dhofar Governorate. The built-up area of the project is 15,276.6 square meters, with a construction cost of thirteen million riyals.
The main building of the project consists of three floors with a capacity of approximately 250 beds. The hospital includes outpatient clinics, laboratories with various specialties, a nephrology unit, a surgical department, an internal medicine department, pediatric, women's, and men's wings, special care units for premature babies, women, and men, a maternity unit, an operating room, an accident and emergency unit, in addition to other accompanying services and parking facilities.
In addition, Al-Lamki visited Al Mazyona Health Center, where he met with the officials of the center and listened to a detailed explanation of the work mechanism there. He also heard their suggestions and opinions for improving and enhancing the services provided at the center, urging them to exert their utmost efforts to overcome obstacles and facilitate the provision of healthcare services to patients.
On the other hand, H.E. the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs met during his visit with H.E. Sheikh Saif Hamoud Al Busaidi, Wali of Al-Mazyona. The two sides discussed many issues related to health and ways to enhance, develop, and improve the health services provided in the Wilayat.
The Undersecretary was accompanied by Dr. Ali Al Maqbali - the Director General of Health Services in Dhofar Governorate - and a number of ministry officials.
