MOH Wins Arab Strategic Web Award
The Ministry of Health (MOH) won the best Arab Strategic Web Award (ASWA) for the category of the Ministries at the Arab World level. The Award ceremony was organized by the Pan Arab Excellence Awards Academy in collaboration with the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility & TATWEEJ Academy, held at Al Murooj Rotana Hotel, United Arab of Emirates.
The Ministry’s Web excelled over 500 Webs from 9 Arab countries. The Research section of the Academy conducted a prolonged study on the nominated Webs at the level of the Arab world, and then referred it to Technical Experts in order to select Top Winners. The evaluation process depended on many Criteria including Concept / Creativity ( 20% ), Technical / Ease of use / Navigation (25%), Content/Structure (25%), Visual design solution/Aesthetics (20%), Interactivity (10%).
The E-health Portal received the Jury’s admiration in view of its content quality and the delivered electronic services for the different community’s individuals that reach 114 e-services.
Abdullah Humood Al Ruqadi, the MOH’s Information Technology Director General, expressed the Ministry’s honor on this notable achievement, which is an addition to the Sultanate’s achievements in the field of e-government lead by the Information Technology Authority.
It should be noted that the e-health portal is a joint project between the Ministry of Health and the Information Technology Authority as part of the Digital Transition Strategy for the e-government.
