The Ministry of Health (MOH) ranked first in the category of the best information transformation in the Middle East during the Excellence Awards 2018 at IDC’s Middle East ClO Summit organized by the International Data Corporation (IDC) in Dubai at the United Arab of Emirates.
The award received by Abdullah Al-Raqadi, Director General of Information Technology in the Ministry of Health in the presence of a large number of participating countries.
The competition included five different categories; Best Customer Experience Transformation, Best Business Operations Transformation, Best Information Transformation, Best IT Service Transformation and CIO of the Year.
131 projects from different countries participated in this award. The MOH participated in the category of Best Information Transformation on its projects in the health system.
The process of selecting winners passes through six phases. Starting from submitting the project via the internet, then sorting projects, after that conducting interviews, followed by registering points for the projects, identifying the final projects according to the points and standards and finally providing a presentation to the arbitrators committee to select the winner from each category.
"It is a great honor for the Ministry to get a new international recognition added to the previous ones, as well as the international and local awards. It is undoubtedly a pride for the Sultanate for its technical progress in the digital transformation" the Director-General said.
Abdullah Al-Raqadi expressed his thanks to the minister of health and the MOH undersecretaries for their unlimited support and guidance to provide the best services in order to facilitate the access of health system in the Sultanate. He also thanked all teams and workers in the health sector who are actively contributed to developing the information transformation.
