Muqshin Hospital is a significant addition to the vital health projects in the governorate. Its importance is further amplified by its strategic location on the main road to Salalah, making it a key healthcare facility in the Wilayat of Muqshin. The hospital provides essential healthcare services, including primary care, specialized medical services, and maternity and childbirth care for both citizens and residents.
The hospital will serve the (1,267) people of Muqshin (according to 2023 statistics), as well as the populations in its three niyabats: Al-Mashash, Marsodid, and Bandar Al-Dhabyan, and other local communities in the area.
Funded by Petroleum Development Oman Company, the hospital has been built on a 1,883.93-square-meter area, with a capacity of (25) beds, with the potential for expansion, distributed across male, female, maternity, and postnatal wards, as well observation, and recovery rooms.
The hospital consists of general medicine and specialized clinics, a maternity ward, radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, and supportive services.
During their inspection tour, the Ministry officials also met His Excellency Hilal Ali Al-Maamari, Wali of Muqshin, to discuss the development of healthcare services, the activation of health committees, and the implementation of healthy city models in the Wilayat.
