Samia Al Balushi, Head of the Professional Development & Career Guidance Department at DGHS-Muscat, explained that the electronic platform aims to include and implement educational programs and training workshops and improve the training process by providing digital tools that empower health workers, and raise the quality of health services. Moreover, the platform works to develop and facilitate the mechanism of providing scholarships and study leaves for health workers in the DGHS-Muscat health institutions.
The platform includes educational video clips hosting a number of well-known scientific and literary personalities in the community. In addition, it saves effort, money, and time for the employee and achieves justice, as it works to remind the employees of the expiration of their training license in their field of specialization and enables them to follow the tests from home.
Furthermore, The Directorate General of Health Services of Muscat Governorate also launched a 1,000 health paramedics campaign. The campaign aims to educate the community in the field of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation to raise health awareness. It targets several society groups, such as mothers, children, teachers, workers, students, scout members, etc.
