The National Committee for Prevention & Control of Non-Communicable Diseases convened today (Thursday) its third meeting at the Ministry of Health’s headquarters.
The meeting was presided by H.H. Sayyida Dr. Mona Al Said, Sultan Qaboos University’s Assistant Vice Chancellor for International Cooperation and Chairperson of the Committee, with the presence of their Excellencies representatives of all relevant sectors. 
Dr. Shadha Al Raisi, Director of Non-Communicable Diseases and the Rapporteur of the National committee presented interventions aligned with WHO "best buys", which cover various sectors, including schools, sports complexes, and workplaces. 
By leveraging evidence-based strategies that have demonstrated positive outcomes globally, the committee endeavors to instill lasting changes that not only empower individuals to make healthier choices but also cultivate a culture of wellness within our society.
