In an effort to enhance the field of nursing and develop the skills of healthcare professionals, a cooperation agreement was recently signed between Oman College of Health Sciences and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health.
The agreement includes the implementation of several specialized programs to train nursing staff with the aim of enhancing their scientific and practical skills in these specialties. The project kicked off with the implementation of training in critical care nursing for adults, followed by pediatric critical care nursing, scheduled to commence in mid-May.
This collaboration aims to exchange knowledge and experiences between the two parties, and develop training and education curricula to meet the needs of the nursing job market, ultimately improving the quality of healthcare provided in hospitals and medical centers.
This step is considered a qualitative leap in enhancing bilateral cooperation between Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman in the healthcare sector, and strengthening the capabilities of healthcare professionals in both countries to meet the aspirations of the community and achieve the highest levels of healthcare.
During their presence in Kuwait, the college team conducted several relevant visits to discuss areas of cooperation. The team met His Excellency Dr. Saleh Amer Al-Kharousi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Kuwait, at the embassy headquarters, as well as visited the Nursing College of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Hospital, and Amiri Hospital.
