The Ministry of Health (MOH) represented by the Directorate General of Private Healthcare Establishments (DGPHE) honored on Monday the outstanding private health institutions. The second course of the Medical Excellence Awards ceremony in the private medical sector establishments was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Sultan Ya’rub Al Busaidi, Ministry’s Advisor for Health Affairs and attended by ministry’s top officials at the Holiday hotel-Muscat.

The honoring awards was on the level of the Sultanate and was divided into several categories; best hospital, polyclinic, specialized (clinic/center), general clinic, dental clinic, ophthalmology center, Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation center and best medical research category. Moreover, the ceremony honored the six institutions that achieved International Accreditation in Quality.

It is worth to mention that the DGPHE has formed a technical committee on the central level with high-efficient technical and administrative members to evaluate the candidates on the governorates level. The evaluation process was based on certain standards most of which is that the candidate should have offered high-quality services, managed it, or enhanced it.
