The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in South Al Batinah Governorate has been crowned champion of the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) 9th Football Tournament 2025, securing the title for the second time in its history after defeating Ibri Hospital’s team in the final match held yesterday evening (Sunday) at the Royal Guard of Oman Sports Complex in Al Seeb.
The event took place under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Hilal bin Ali bin Hilal Al Sabti, Minister of Health, and was attended by several officials from the Ministry, along with directors general and representatives from various health institutions across the Sultanate of Oman. The tournament was exclusively sponsored by Al Saada Hospital.
Following the final whistle, H.E. Dr. Hilal Al Sabti crowned the top three winning teams and presented gold, silver, and bronze medals to the players, coaches, and medical and administrative staff. The South Al Batinah Health Directorate team claimed first place and lifted the championship cup, while Ibri Hospital secured second place and Al Masarra Hospital finished third.
H.E. Dr. Al Sabti honored the best individual players and recognized all participating teams, referees, match officials, organizing members, and supporting committees, along with the exclusive sponsor, Al Saada Hospital.
